Description:
- Structural Engineering design
- Development of plans and specs for remedial structural renovations
- Existing two-story building (18,045 sq. ft.)
- Load-bearing masonry exterior walls, heavy timber interior framing
- Building was a former vehicular showroom and warehouse in disrepair
- Renovations included replacement of first floor interior slab, reconfiguring second floor timber framing for new atrium, replacement of fire and rot damaged framing, addition of second floor concrete deck, removal and closure of old vehicular elevator shaft, installation of interior cold formed metal stud framing, reinforcement of cracked masonry walls
