Description:
- Civil and Structural Engineering design
- Development of plans and specs for scope to convert an existing
abandoned grocery store
into a place of worship
- Existing 1-1/2-story building (32,950 sq. ft.), structural steel columns,
steel bar
joists, masonry exterior walls, interior concrete slab
- Renovations included removal of some interior columns and load
bearing framing and
replacement with custom made structural truss
and steel pipe columns, reconfiguring
structural framing on second
floor for new spaces, replacement of damaged framing,
addition of
second floor concrete deck, addition of elevator shaft, installation of
interior cold formed metal framing, reinforcement of cracked masonry walls
- Associated site work included complete replacement of parking lot
pavement,
reconfiguring and replacement with reinforced portland
cement concrete pavement,
landscaping, etc.
